Understanding Wireless

Wireless is a connection between a device with other devices without using cables.Wireless Personal Area Network PAN is connected to the wireless media. Wireless technology used in this PAN is IrDA and Bluetooth.Wireless LAN is connected via a computer network without wires. Local Area Network of computers and other devices that communicate via radio signals or light waves. This system is useful when connecting via cable or fiber optic connection is quite expensive, or to move the connection application. Data communication technology with no cables to connect between the client and server. Wireless LAN technology in general is similar to a computer network technology that uses a cable (Wire LAN or Local Area Networks). Wireless LAN technology is using radio frequency to send and receive data that would reduce the need for or dependency relationships through cable. As a result, users have high mobility or flexibility and not dependent on a place or location. Wireless LAN technology is also possible to form a network of computers that may not be accessible by computer networks that use a cable.Wireless Card is a card that is used to support the computer can be connected in a network. These cards
are commonly used in notebook called a PCMCIA (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association).

Wireless connection for BYONThere are two types of wireless is used in BYON, namely:A. Intel wireless2. Atheros / Azurewave
Install the driver / software in accordance with the existing wireless system.* Use the Intel Pro Wireless when using the Intel wireless.* Use when using wireless Atheros Atheros.
The following is information about the Atheros wireless.
* Make sure the software and the Atheros driver installed properly.* Install software also wireless select switch.* Slide the hard switch on the position on (teletak on the side of the front of the notebook).
Advantages and Disadvantages
Excess
  •     Maintenance costs are low because it only includes the cell station
  •     Infrastructure of small dimensions, fast and easy construction developed
  •     cheap and easy to relocate and to support portabelitas
  •     24-hour access to internet connection, faster and toll-free telephone

Shortage
  •   The cost of equipment is quite expensive
  •   Considerable delay, the radio propagation issues (blocked, reflected, and many sources of   interference)
  •   Confidentiality and data security is less assured
  •    Network capacity has limited spectrum
